Golden Cream Chowder

Ingredients
- 3 cup water
- 1 cup celery, diced
- ½ cup onions
- ¼ cup peppers
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 2 teaspoon salt
- ½ cup butter
- ½ cup flour
- 4 cup milk
- 2 cup ham, cubed
- 8 ounces sharp cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil. Add vegetables and cook until done.
- Meanwhile, melt butter and add flour. Blend and add milk. Cook over low heat and boil 1 minute. Add sharp cheddar cheese and stir until melted.
- Add cubed ham. Stir in vegetables and water mixture. Heat through. Better if made one day ahead and reheated on low.
