Cassie’s Favorite Bread Machine Recipe
Adapted from White Wheat recipe in Hamilton Beach manual to produce a healthy, consistent loaf.
Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 Tablespoon sugar
- 2 Tablespoons butter or vegetable oil room temperature
- 1 cup (130 g) whole-wheat flour
- 2 cups (250 g) white flour
- 1 ½ teaspoons instant yeast (2 ¼ tsp active dry)
- ¼ cup Sunflower, Sesame, Chia, and/or Flax seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Heat water and milk to 90-110°F.
- Place ingredients in bread machine pan in order listed. Select Basic cycle, 1.5 lb loaf, desired crust, and start.
Notes
1/2 C milk = 2 tbsp dry milk powder + 1/2 C water
