Granola

Ingredients
- 6 cups old fashioned oats
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup wheat germ
- ½ cup sunflower seeds, shelled
- ¾ cup cashew halves
- ½ cup oil
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/3 cup water
- 1 ½ tsp salt
- 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup raisins
Instructions
- In a large bowl combine oats, coconut, wheat germ, (sunflower seeds and cashews, if now, otherwise add later.)
- Mix together oil, honey, water, salt (omit if nuts are salted), and vanilla. Pour over dry mixture, stir to coat. Spread mixture on two greased baking sheets.
- Bake at 350°F for 30 minutes – can also try baking at 225° for 30 minutes or longer. Stir frequently and be careful it doesn't get too brown.
- Add raisins. Cool and store in airtight containers. Makes 2 quarts.
