Mock Eggnog

An easy, egg-free holiday beverage. Adapted from Taste of Home.

Ingredients
  

  • 9 cups cold milk
  • 2 packages (3.4 oz each) instant French vanilla or vanilla pudding mix
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • additional nutmeg optional

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, beat milk and pudding mix on low speed for 2 minutes. Beat in the sugar, nutmeg, vanilla and salt if desired.
  • In another bowl, beat cream until thickened, about 3 minutes. Gently fold into pudding mixture. Refrigerate until serving.
  • Mix again before serving and sprinkle with additional nutmeg if desired.

Best if prepared one to two days in advance.
